Erika Somogyi

I realize I'm posting a little later than normal. I was running around all day and am just now getting around to checking my email, Google Reader, etc. etc. I didn't want to leave you hanging, either! :D

I saw this just now on Modish and really wanted to share it here. It's a piece called Divining Light by Erika Somogyi and it is just so beautiful. The original is a 30" x 36" watercolor, gouache, and color pencil on paper, but you can pick up one of the limited edition 8x10 prints here.

The Human Printer :: Halftone by hand

Have you met The Human Printer? No? Well there are 11 to choose from, each with their own unique characteristics i.e. 001 Lee is slow and accurate, 001 Stevenson is good at intricacy and complicated prints. Each one does the same job, though: printing halftone images by hand. Yep. Dot by dot. Tedious and painstaking, I imagine. If you've got an image you want to run through The Human Printer, check out their image requirements first. Type of printing available: B&W, CMYK, and Spot Color.
