Tweet Bird Feeder :: CB2

I included this glossy feeder in my CB2 Outdoor Collection round up over on Grassroots Modern last week, but I love it too much not to include it here.  Made of steel with a high gloss, epoxy coating in a bright, happy orange.  I love the retro shape and open design!  Unfortunately, we don't have enough trees to support my budding bird feeder obsession.  Maybe one day.

Tweet Bird Feeder from CB2: $29.95

Moonbird Light :: Yukio Hashimoto

Quick vote: Swan or Platypus?

About:
A luxurious desk lamp, Yukio Hashimoto's Moonbird combines the latest LED technology with a sleek design and the natural feel of wood. The beautiful form seems almost as if carved directly from a tree. The light-emitting area is thin and flush with the wood, and emits a soft, warm light.

Available in wenge, walnut, or natural finish.

Moonbird Light by Yukio Hashimoto available from GNR8: $999

As always, it was a pleasure having you along for another week of modern adventures!  I'm off to go see the first US theatrical screening of House (Hausu) since its original 1977 release.  Watch the trailer and you'll understand why I'm excited.  Peace!

Tufted :: Pixel Rug

You probably saw this on Design Milk yesterday, but it was just too amazing not to re-post.  As a fan of rugs, bright colors, and fish, this rug is the absolute motherload.  If I died tomorrow, at least I died knowing that this little nugget of perfection exists.

About:
Portuguese manufacturer Piodao Group is unveiling their newest line of hand-tufted rugs at this year's Milan Design Week under the name Tufted.  The Pixel Rug is just one in an exciting new collection.
