How to make plastic bag ice cream!

. 8.14.2009

.I made this today because, apparently, I'm a little kid. It takes a little more than five minutes to make and the result is super yummy! Plus, it gives you a great excuse to run around your kitchen, shaking a bag. And you know you're always looking for a good reason to run around and shake things.

Enjoy!

Capree's Plastic Bag Ice Cream

What you'll need:

1 tablespoon sugar
6 tablespoons fat free milk
2 tablespoons fat free sour cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-3 strawberries, diced
6 tablespoons rock salt
1 pint-sized sandwich bag
1 gallon-sized food storage bag
ice cubes

Directions:
1. Put the sugar, milk, sour cream, vanilla, and strawberries in the sandwich bag. Seal carefully!
2. Fill the gallon-sized bag halfway with ice and add the rock salt.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one and seal the large bag carefully! Check it again and make sure it's sealed. You don't want rock salt flying all over your kitchen once you start shaking.
4. Shake, shake, shake!! Continue shaking until the contents of the small bag have magically turned into ice cream. This should take about 5 minutes of rigorous shaking.
5. Remove the small bag, wipe off all the salt, and reward yourself with a tasty treat.

(not crack) would be a great way to label a sugar jar.
