Irving Penn :: 1917 - 2009

In case you hadn't heard, one of the most prolific and talented photographers to ever live died this week.  Irving Penn was an inspiration to many generations of photographers and his absence will be felt deeply.  I still remember seeing his images as a kid and feeling this stirring in my soul - his work just does that.
