7 Things
Sit down and let me tell you a tale of wonderment and delight! I have been tagged TWICE (by Katelyn Jane and Leigh) for this rendition of get-to-know-you-Internet-goodness. I'm going to write 7 random things about myself and my life.. and then I'm going to tag 7 other people... so that they might also partake in the magic of Internet tagging games. Open your ears, dear readers:
1. I have a completely irrational fear of getting shot in a drive by. If I'm on the sidewalk and a car is coming up from behind me, I tense up and close my eyes, bracing myself for the 'inevitable'. This fear also translates to getting shot while driving on the freeway. Same thing - when another car comes speeding up from behind me and passes me, I tense up (but keep my eyes open - I am driving after all) and have a fleeting moment of fear that if I look over at the other driver, I'll see that they've pulled a gun on me. I'm a little crazy.
2. I've only been to Disneyland once, when I was five years old, and I'm OK with that.
3. I'm pretty sure I'm the only girl who can't stand Jane Austen or anything that was spawned from her books. No, I'm a Chuck Palahniuk kind of girl.
4. If I had a choice between being deaf or blind, I would, without hesitation, choose deafness.
5. The first thing I notice about people are their teeth. This stems from years of embarrassment of my own gnarly, gap-toothed grin as a kid/adolescent. Through the miracle of orthodontics, my teeth are happily straightened now.
6. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an archaeologist. I was fascinated by Mayan and Aztec cultures. I loved reading National Geographic and watching educational films about these and other peoples. Eventually, I 'focused' my dream and decided that I was going to be a marine archaeologist, spending my time scuba diving amongst sunken wreckage and lost cities. Well, I never learned to swim and then I became a photographer.
7. I would be 100% OK with moving to a new place where I didn't know a soul. Brady, I think, would not. If I had a say in the matter, though, I'd really like to go somewhere where it doesn't snow. I hate being cold - there's nothing worse. NOTHING. Not even this. OK, maybe that. But really, I'm not very change averse.. in fact, I love new things and places! I would love to be able to travel around, living in a new city every couple years. To be able to just pick up and go somewhere new would be thrilling! But alas... this is not my destiny. It appears The Beehive State has its stinger in me. HA.
Here are the seven lucky souls who must keep this tagging chain whole, lest the Internet Tagging Demon visit them in their sleep:
Kate
Michael
Brenda
Mandy
Jelena
Seth
Britta
4 Remarks:
I'm totally with you on the last point! I love change and have no issue with moving to a new place (: Unfortunately, because my hubby is just establishing his own company we have to stay in the deep north where winter lasts for 8months and we get 5' of snow that MAY dissapear by Easter if we're lucky. And then return again in two weeks.
Not Joking.
Great 7!! I love getting to know people like this (:
I'm with you on no. 3 and no. 6 and I've done no. 7 . Its over rated.
And your virtual baby, was seriously ugly without managing to look like either of you. Wrigley looks more like you both.
I'm not going to answer your tag, as you know enough crap about me already.
Kate - I'm offended that you would refer to Fabio as "seriously ugly". He was only marginally ugly. C'mon now. As for Wrigley, I think as Brady ages, the two will look more and more like each other, what with the eyebrows and all. As for refusing that tag, well, you've been warned. The Tagging Demon doesn't stand for blatant disregard of Internet Protocol.
Wow, I thought I was the only one who expected to be shot in a drive-by! It's totally irrational, but what can you do?
