I had the opportunity to photograph the Jackson kids over the weekend. Here are a few of my favorite shots!

If you'd like to set up your own portrait session, give me a whistle! Prices can be found here.
I had so much fun shooting Hillary tonight! Here's a little teaser photo from our shoot!
And for some reason, I am in love with this photo.. I think it's hilarious!
Thanks, Hill, for being so awesome!
I've got a photo shoot tonight with this hot little lady:

Hillary and Davy - Capree Kimball Photography
Ms. Hillary, good friend, amazing stylist, and owner of the Haven Salon, is getting some saucy photos taken as a surprise for her wonderful husband Davy. Lucky guy!
Feeling it was our civic duty to use our stimulus check in the most consumerist way possible, we did what every other true blooded American would do.
We bought the newest flat screen LCD in the biggest size we could.
I feel so very patriotic.
Here's Brady setting up his our new telly.. it was delivered this morning!
I must admit, for the amount of movies and games we watch/play, this was a good purchase. Plus, I've never seen such amazing picture quality in all my measly life!

I thought it was unfair that Herbert was treated to his own portrait session, so here's the original bot, Maggie.

Since Herbert's introduction, the two have really hit it off. Citing a deep connection over a shared love of cribbage, the two have decided to get married. Here are a few shots from their engagement session. They're so in love!

When Brady and I were in Chicago, we didn't really shop that much. We spent all our money on good food and Cubs games. The only thing I did buy was this great tin toy - a mechanical robot that walks (or shuffles, really.. kind of like an old man). I picked him up at the Museum of Contemporary Art bookstore/gift shop. I'm hoping he'll be a nice companion to my other tin robot that sparks and makes scary noises while it also attempts to shuffle around. This first tin bot was given to me by my dear friend, Lisa. Anyway, here's the new guy, who has yet to receive a name Herbert. I hope you like him as much as I do!
Let's give this chunk of tin a warm welcome!

I love, love, love these moleskine journals and sketchbooks by MODOFLY.
MODOFLY is an artist collaborative that features the work of many talented artists on their fancy, engraved moleskin journals. And when I say fancy, I mean totally rad and unlike anything else out there. These books are works of art. Check out a few of my favorite designs:

If you think you've got what it takes, they are having an open call for submissions! Send your illustrations/designs to submissions@modofly.net
For those interested, I recently updated my pricing for all photography sessions. The new pricing scheme is much simpler, with a basic fee applicable to all sessions rather than multiple packages that include this and that, but not this, etc. Here are my updated prices for 2008:
All sessions are $150, except Bridal sessions which are $200. This is for artist's time and talent and does not include any prints or high-res CD's.
Included in the session is a 1 - 1.5 hour shoot in the Utah County/Salt Lake County areas. Also included is professional re-touching on all images selected for final prints. Clients will have access to an online proof gallery of the best images from their session. This online proofing will be available for 9 months. Print orders must be placed by the end of the 9 month period when the gallery expires.
Please see my website for additional pricing info.
I am now booking for August and am available to shoot evenings during the week and anytime Friday through Monday. Please contact me to book your photography session!
While Brady and I were in Chicago, we took a nice leisurely stroll along Lake Michigan after our visit to Shedd Aquarium. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

We watched Re-Animator last week and this photo is in honor of all the great campy horror movies from the 80s.
I call this "BiteMan".
There may or may not be follow up sequels entitled "Revenge of BiteMan", "Bride of BiteMan", or "BiteMan II: Puncture Wounds".
I updated the ol' Etsy Shop last week - check out the new sizes and prints!
If you liked the succulent images, they're available as 4x6 prints with a half inch border all around (making the paper size 5x7) - sized for easy framing!
I've been busy today filling orders and getting my artist submission ready for this gallery in Scottsdale. Wish me luck!
We saw Dark Knight this morning, courtesy of this company.

Seriously.
Heath Ledger's performance was frightfully mind blowing.. making his untimely death even more tragic. :(
You must see this movie as soon as you can!
Happy (belated) birthday to Kristi and Jonah - and welcome back! Kristi spent the past 6 weeks backpacking through Europe with her husband Quinn! Jonah was away with his little brothers and mom in North Carolina visiting his grandparents! Since they were both away during their birthdays, we're finally celebrating them this Sunday!
Yay!
Check out this beautiful desk calendar made out of Corian for DuPont's "Corian 40 years/40 Designers" event.
DuPont asked 40 international designers to create a genuinely functional object - a table or desktop accessory - that reflects the ingenuity of the designers as well as the design possibilities of Corian.

I quite enjoy this quirky Octopus Mirror by Untamed Menagerie. I wonder if they take commissions for other creatures?
We're back from Chicago! Let me just say that Chicago is the coolest city ever. If Chicago and NYC had a battle, Chicago would be the Native Americans and NYC would be Colonel Custer. And we all know how that ended.
William Reusswig - Custers Last Stand
Chicago is a fantastic city, full of adventure and incredible food. Our shopping was minimal, but our eating was grand! Best Mexican food possibly ever - Frontera Grill. So amazing. We were dining alfresco when Lou Pinella and his wife got out of a taxi right in front of us and went inside. Best Steak this side of anywhere - Morton's. Tastiest meats I've ever had and most expensive meal of my life. We got all dressed up to go to Morton's (which was about a 45 second walk from our hotel, which was in the middle of what I like to call "Swank Town".. we were right off the Miracle Mile, a block up from Prada and the like. A little out of our element, I suppose!) Surprisingly good (and the absolute freshest anywhere) Chinese food - Big Bowl. Probably the tastiest Chinese food I've ever had and incredibly reasonable prices. Also, the best service/waiter we had on our whole trip. A+ for Big Bowl!
Brady - The New Photographer, took these back at the hotel after our great steak dinner. I call my look in the first series "Blue Tigress".

I'll be posting more about our trip over the next little while, so stay tuned!
